Delhi Workers Spend Three Times More on Commute Than Bihar Counterparts

A recent National Household Travel Survey (NHTS) has shed light on the stark differences in commuting costs between Delhi and urban Bihar. The survey found that Delhi workers spend nearly three times more on their daily commutes compared to urban Bihar commuters. This disparity highlights the significant economic challenges faced by workers in Delhi, where transportation costs are a major burden. The NHTS provides valuable insights into travel patterns and expenditure across India, allowing for a better understanding of the factors influencing commuting costs in different regions.
