PhD interviews for Hindi at Delhi University were canceled due to protests by ABVP and DUSU over a short notice period and concerns about eligible candidates being overlooked.
The PhD interviews for the Hindi Department at Delhi University, scheduled for October 28th, were postponed due to protests by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU). Students expressed their dissatisfaction with the short notice period given for the interviews and raised concerns that eligible candidates might be overlooked in the process. The ABVP and DUSU demanded a more transparent and inclusive selection process, ensuring that all deserving candidates get a fair opportunity to participate in the interviews. As a result of the protests, the university administration was forced to postpone the interviews to a later date.
