Delhi police have arrested a young man from Kanpur who made a fake bomb threat call to his friend as a prank. The investigation revealed the incident was a terrifying joke rather than a genuine security threat.

Delhi police have successfully identified and arrested a suspect in connection with a fake bomb threat received in the national capital. The accused, identified as Suraj Verma, was apprehended in Kanpur following a thorough investigation into the threatening call.

The incident came to light when a threatening call was made claiming a bomb blast was imminent. Initial reports suggested a serious security concern, prompting a swift response from law enforcement agencies in Delhi.

However, further scrutiny of the call records and the context of the message revealed that the threat was not genuine. The investigation established that Suraj Verma had made the call specifically to frighten his friend, Suman Kumar, treating the situation as a dark joke.

Police officials confirmed that the act was classified as a prank intended to cause undue fear. The accused has been taken into custody in Kanpur for further legal action regarding the misuse of emergency services and spreading panic.
