Police in Delhi have arrested a man who had been on the run for 26 years for a murder he disguised as a road accident.
Delhi police have successfully apprehended a fugitive who had been evading justice for 26 years in connection with a murder case. The suspect had been on the run since the incident, which he had deliberately staged to appear as a fatal road accident rather than a homicide.
The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in a long-pending case that had remained unsolved for over two decades. Investigators had been tracking the individual for years, gathering evidence that contradicted the initial report of an accidental death.
By disguising the killing as a traffic mishap, the accused attempted to mislead law enforcement and avoid prosecution. However, persistent investigative efforts eventually led to his identification and capture.
The suspect is currently in police custody, where he will face legal proceedings for his role in the murder. This case highlights the enduring commitment of Delhi police to solve cold cases and ensure that those who commit serious crimes do not escape accountability.
