Former IPS officer and LSE alumna Deepali Masirkar has been named Executive Director and Chief Security Officer at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

Deepali Masirkar, a former Indian Police Service officer, has been appointed as Executive Director and Chief Security Officer at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The appointment was announced by ONGC’s board of directors in a press release on Monday.

Masirkar earned her postgraduate degree from the London School of Economics before joining the Indian Police Service. She has held senior security posts in various government agencies, gaining extensive experience in risk assessment and crisis management.

In her new role, Masirkar will oversee all security operations across ONGC’s domestic and international assets. She will be responsible for developing strategies to safeguard personnel, infrastructure and critical resources.

The appointment marks a significant step for ONGC as it seeks to strengthen its security framework amid growing operational complexity. Masirkar’s background in law enforcement is expected to bring a disciplined approach to the company’s safety protocols.
