Census 2027 to Span Record 50 Days

The Union government has announced that the population enumeration phase of Census 2027 will be the longest in history, spanning a total of 50 days. This decision comes after a thorough review and analysis of previous census operations and aims to ensure a comprehensive and accurate count of India's population. The extended enumeration period will allow enumerators more time to reach remote and hard-to-access areas, minimizing the risk of missing individuals during the count. Details regarding the specific dates and procedures for Census 2027 are expected to be released in the coming months.
