The Central Bureau of Investigation has directed that the trial of Twisha Sharma, accused of a high‑profile murder, be shifted from a Madhya Pradesh court to another jurisdiction, citing concerns over undue influence.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has issued a directive to move the trial of Twisha Sharma, the woman accused of murder, out of a Madhya Pradesh court. The agency cited the possibility of undue influence on the proceedings as the main reason for the transfer.

Sharma’s case has been pending for several years. She was arrested in 2015 following the death of a 15‑year‑old girl in Indore. The trial has been held in a local court in the state, where the CBI believes external pressures could compromise the fairness of the process.

By shifting the trial to another jurisdiction, the CBI aims to ensure an impartial hearing and to prevent any interference from local political or social groups that may have an interest in the outcome. The move is expected to be finalized within the next few weeks.

The court in Madhya Pradesh will be notified of the change, and the case will be reassigned to a court in a different state. Legal experts say the decision underscores the importance of safeguarding judicial independence in high‑profile criminal cases.
