Indian bowler Kamboj explained how confidence in his bowling and a focus on process helped shift his figures from 9-0-82-0 to 10-2-22-2.
Indian fast bowler Kamboj opened up about a striking improvement in his recent spell, moving from a costly 9-0-82-0 to a much tighter 10-2-22-2. The numbers, recorded in a domestic tournament, highlight a turnaround that has drawn attention from coaches and fans alike.
Kamboj said the key to the shift was a simple mantra: trust his bowling and stick to the process he has honed over years of training. He emphasized that believing in his natural abilities, combined with disciplined routines in the nets, allowed him to execute his plans more consistently on the field.
The bowler also spoke about mental preparation, noting that visualising each delivery and maintaining a steady rhythm helped curb the pressure that previously led to erratic figures. Teammates observed a noticeable change in his confidence during the recent matches.
His coach praised the approach, stating that Kamboj’s renewed focus on fundamentals has set a positive example for the squad. The improvement comes at a crucial time as the team gears up for upcoming league fixtures and potential national selection.
If Kamboj continues on this trajectory, his performance could bolster the bowling attack ahead of the next season, offering both depth and reliability to the side’s strategy.
