The state of Bihar is preparing to introduce the Bharat Taxi service by the end of November. This initiative aims to provide a reliable and affordable ride-hailing option for residents across key urban centers in the state.
In the first phase of the rollout, the service will be operational in four districts: Patna, Gaya, Vaishali, and Muzaffarpur. These areas have been selected to establish a strong foundation for the platform before potential expansion to other regions.
Preparations for the launch are nearing completion, with the testing of the customer application already finalized. This ensures that users will have a functional and stable interface when the service goes live.
The platform has already garnered significant interest from the driver community, with 2,005 drivers having registered on the system so far. This ready pool of drivers is expected to help meet the initial demand in the four designated districts.
