Bihar State Road Transport Corporation will operate approximately 200 special buses between November 5 and 20 to facilitate travel during Diwali and Chhath Puja.

The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (Bihar RTC) has announced the deployment of approximately 200 special buses to manage the surge in passenger traffic during the Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals. The service is scheduled to run from November 5 to November 20, aiming to provide reliable public transport options for travelers during this peak period.

These special services will connect Bihar with five neighboring states and union territories: Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, West Bengal, and Jharkhand. The move is intended to alleviate congestion on regular routes and ensure that commuters can travel safely and comfortably to visit relatives or return home for the celebrations.

Ticket booking for these special buses has already commenced. Authorities have urged passengers to book their tickets in advance to secure their seats, as demand is expected to be high during the festive season. The initiative is part of the state government's broader efforts to enhance public transport infrastructure and service quality during major holidays.
