Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary inaugurated the statewide anti‑drug drive on 27 October at Patna’s convention hall, marking the start of a month‑long campaign that will run until 26 November 2026.

After the state’s long‑awaited alcohol ban came to an end, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary used the occasion to launch a new statewide initiative aimed at curbing drug use. The "Nashamukt Bihar" campaign was inaugurated on 27 October at the Patna Convention Hall, with the CM taking a solemn oath to drive the state towards a drug‑free future.

The campaign is scheduled to run for a full month, from 27 October 2025 to 26 November 2026, covering all districts of Bihar. It will involve a coordinated effort between police, health departments, and local NGOs to conduct awareness drives, rehabilitation camps, and community outreach programs.

Samrat Chaudhary emphasized that the initiative seeks to address the growing problem of substance abuse, especially among the youth, and to reinforce the state’s commitment to public health and safety. He urged citizens to support the campaign and report any suspicious activities.

The launch event was attended by several state officials and local leaders, all of whom pledged cooperation. The CM’s pledge underscores the government’s focus on creating a safer, healthier Bihar for its residents.
