The Primary Health Centre in Koilwar, Bhojpur district, has been upgraded to a Community Health Centre, featuring 30 beds and approved posts for specialist doctors to improve local healthcare.

Healthcare infrastructure in Bihar has received a significant boost with the official upgrade of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Koilwar, Bhojpur district, to a Community Health Centre (CHC). This administrative change marks a step towards enhancing medical services for the local population.

As part of this upgrade, the facility has been sanctioned with 30 inpatient beds, significantly increasing its capacity to handle patients requiring overnight care. Additionally, the government has approved various job categories, including positions for specialist doctors, to ensure comprehensive medical coverage at the district level.

The primary objective of this expansion is to reduce the dependency of rural residents on distant urban hospitals for specialized treatment. By bringing expert medical services closer to the grassroots level, the state aims to improve health outcomes and accessibility in the region.

While the structural and administrative approvals are in place, the full realization of these benefits will depend on the timely recruitment and deployment of the sanctioned specialist doctors and support staff to the Koilwar facility.
