Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar will inaugurate a new sugarcane nursery, mechanization bank, and gur processing plant in Nautanpur, Patna, to boost the state's sugar industry.
Patna, Bihar: The state government is set to give a significant boost to the local sugar industry with the inauguration of key agricultural infrastructure projects in Patna. Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar is scheduled to launch a new sugarcane nursery, a mechanization bank, and a gur (jaggery) processing plant in the Nautanpur area today.
The event, organized by the Sugarcane Industry Department, aims to modernize farming practices and support small-scale farmers. The establishment of the mechanization bank is expected to provide farmers with access to modern agricultural equipment, thereby improving efficiency and reducing labor costs in sugarcane cultivation.
Additionally, the new gur plant is designed to offer farmers a viable alternative for selling their produce, ensuring better market rates and reducing post-harvest losses. This initiative aligns with the state's broader strategy to enhance the value chain of sugarcane and promote self-reliance among rural communities.
The Chief Minister is also expected to interact with legal professionals during the event, where he will present special gifts to advocates as part of a broader social and administrative engagement in the capital.
