The ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup, organized by the Asian Cricket Council, serves as a platform for young cricketers to gain international exposure and experience. Participation in the tournament is seen as a crucial step in the development pathway, allowing players to showcase their skills on a larger stage.
BCCI officials indicated that the tournament will help assess the depth of India's talent pool and inform future selections for the senior national team. The India A side will travel to the host nation later this year, where they will compete against peers from other Asian cricketing nations.
