The veteran actor says he is battling fatigue and the urge to slow down, urging himself not to let age dictate his schedule.

Amitabh Bachchan, the 80‑year‑old icon of Indian cinema, recently opened up about the difficulty of getting back to his regular daily routine after a spell of reduced activity. In a candid conversation with The Indian Express, he described feeling the pull of fatigue and the temptation to ease off his commitments.

He told the reporter that he constantly reminds himself, "don't let the old man in," as a way to combat the mental barrier of aging. To rebuild his stamina, Bachchan has adopted light exercise, a balanced diet, and is gradually taking on more work commitments.

The actor, whose career spans over five decades, said the challenge is both physical and psychological. Staying involved with film projects and public appearances, he believes, helps maintain his momentum and sense of purpose.

Bachchan also highlighted the vital role of his family and close associates in supporting his comeback. He hopes that sharing his experience will inspire others facing similar age‑related hurdles to stay active and engaged.
