Police at Aligarh station freed 12 children from the Kalka Mail train, suspected of human trafficking, and arrested a suspect.

On Sunday evening, officers at Aligarh railway station stopped train 12311 Kalka Mail, which was en route to Delhi from Gaya, Bihar. They discovered 12 children on board who were suspected of being trafficked.

The children, all residents of Gaya district, had been aboard the train for several hours before the intervention. Police officials confirmed that the children were freed and provided immediate medical and psychological assistance.

During the operation, a suspect was detained at the station. Authorities are investigating the alleged trafficking network and have pledged to pursue all involved parties.

The incident underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat human trafficking across India, especially in transit routes between states.
